Bose QuietComfort Ultra Review: Comfort King

Rating: 5.0 / 5 Price: $299 Tested for 2 weeks

Bose nails comfort yet again. The QC Ultra vanish on your head, and the clamping force is just right for long flights. ANC is top-tier, especially for low-frequency rumble—only Sony edges it in some airplane cabins.

Sound is classic Bose: smooth, slightly warm, easy to listen to for hours. Spatial audio is a nice bonus for movies, less critical for music. Multipoint worked well across a MacBook and Pixel phone in our test week.

Battery life hit around 22 hours with ANC on. USB-C fast charge gives ~2.5 hours from a 15-minute top-up. No water rating—these aren’t gym cans. The app is straightforward with an EQ that actually sticks.

Pros

  • Best-in-class comfort
  • Excellent ANC, especially for low-end noise
  • Balanced, fatigue-free sound
  • Reliable multipoint

Cons

  • No water resistance
  • Spatial audio is nice, not essential
  • Hard case is bulky

Should you buy it?

If comfort is your priority and you want great ANC with relaxed sound, go Bose. If you want punchier bass or water resistance, Sony or Sennheiser might suit you better. For flights and long work sessions, these are hard to beat.
